BEHIND THE ROUND
A little more about this quiz
A famous tower can give a city away; a river junction may take a little more thought. This bank covers fifty distinct US cities, from New York and Los Angeles to Anchorage and Charleston. Each clue includes a state or another clear geographic detail to distinguish similarly named places.
Type the city’s name or use answer choices. Common forms such as NYC and Saint Louis are accepted. Explanations make useful distinctions: Miami Beach is separate from Miami, and much of the Las Vegas Strip sits outside the city boundary. These small details make the answer more useful than a name alone.
