BEHIND THE ROUND
A little more about this quiz
The American Women Quarters program honored twenty women across four issue years. This text-clue quiz describes design details in original wording: a space-shuttle window, a ballet pose, a Girl Scout symbol or tennis equipment. You choose the honoree, then read the explanation and Mint reference.
The first twenty questions cover every honoree once. Ten additional questions explain the shared obverse, program years and selected symbols or inscriptions. Mixed rounds draw ten; focused practice lets you cover all twenty names, one five-honoree year, or the ten context questions.
No coin photographs are needed for this version. Use the year reference to learn the complete set, then print a matching worksheet or return to the names you missed. The page covers historical recognition and excludes coin values, rarity, grading and investment advice.
LEARN THE PATTERN
Recognize the honoree, then explain the clue
Use the twenty-name reference below as a study list, not as an issue-order chart.

Check what you remember
Look away from the table. Try each question, then open it to check your answer.
How many honorees are in the complete program?Show answer
Twenty: five in each of four years, 2022–2025.
Which side changes for each honoree?Show answer
The reverse; the common obverse depicts Washington.
Start with a design clue
Connect a distinctive object with the person it honors: Ride’s shuttle window, Tallchief’s ballet pose, Low’s Trefoil or Gibson’s tennis equipment. These are verbal clues, so the quiz does not depend on coin-image recognition.
Separate issue year from historical dates
The program ran from 2022 through 2025, with five honorees per year. A historical date within a design can describe the honoree’s life rather than the coin’s issue year. Coleman’s license date is one example.
Keep the two coin faces straight
The shared obverse presents Washington in Fraser’s portrait design. The reverse changes to recognize each honoree. Context practice tests these series facts separately from the twenty name-recognition items.
